Amazon to allow furniture stores to participate in selling

Amazon recently announced that the online retail giant plans to begin furniture sellers to take their sales online. This means a wider audience for many small furniture stores who are trying to grow their consumer base. One notable factor here is that Amazon will not require these furniture stores to sell nationwide if they choose not to do so. They can, however, choose to sell nationally if they have the means to offer white glove delivery service to those areas. Furniture sellers can choose which zip codes in their area they are willing to ship their products to.

Amazon will require these furniture sellers to offer at least white glove delivery, which simply means that the customer can tell you where they want the furniture delivered. If the company wants, they can offer other options such as setting up the furniture and any other relevant services. Those who choose to participate in this new program will have to pay a fee each month of $39.99, as well as a 15% fee for each product sale and 20% for any services that are offer.

This allows customers that don’t have the means to access the brick and mortar store itself to still make purchases from the company at a competitive price. If you have questions about what it takes to become an Amazon seller, contact us today.
