Amazon has recently launched the Kindle Kids Edition and the Fire HD 10 Kids Edition, indicating Amazon is looking to bring in the younger generation.
The Fire HD 10 Kids Edition is essentially a tablet for children that comes with a 1-year subscription to Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. The feature grants you a 1-year subscription to Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, which allows children to read some of the most popular children’s novels on the market. Additionally, the feature grants access to educational videos, apps, audiobooks, and games. The Fire HD 10 Kids Edition allows parents to adjust the content their child is viewing based on his or her age–a form of “parental controls.”
On the other hand, the Kindle Kids Edition also grants access to a 1-year subscription to Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. Additionally, the Kindle Kids Edition has a feature called Word Wise, designed to encourage your child to expand his or her vocabulary.
A third product, the Amazon Fire 7 Kids Edition also provides parents and their children with a 1-year subscription to Amazon FreeTime Unlimited. Through this device, children can view some of the most popular cartoon series, comics, and games from Nickelodeon, PBS Kids, Disney, Macmillan, and more.
Amazon continues to find ways to expand its business, as Amazon has recently also made some big moves in the healthcare department. This month, Amazon launched a program called Amazon.care, a potential source of healthcare for its Seattle-based employees. The service is designed to make healthcare easier.
