This Cyber Monday, Amazon had its biggest shopping day in the company’s history, staying true to the trend of Amazon’s dominance over the online marketplace. In a statement this past Tuesday, Amazon revealed that consumers ordered “hundreds of millions of products” from Thanksgiving Day to this past Monday.
On Cyber Monday alone, Amazon raked in over $9.2 billion in sales, coupling its $7.4 billion in sales on Black Friday, according to Adobe Analytics. This is an extremely large growth, even compared with last year’s rankings. In fact, Amazon saw 17% more sales than last year’s Cyber Monday, which also broke 2017’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday record.
Rather obviously, this is a fantastic time to become an Amazon Seller, and if you already are one, it is best you begin looking into preparing for the Holiday Season to come. Though Black Friday and Cyber Monday are typically the two biggest Amazon holidays, the month of December is a close second.
This year, Amazon devices, as well as toys, such as Legos, did extremely well on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
