Amazon Has Biggest Holiday Season to Date Following Black Friday, Cyber Monday
Recently, Amazon has announced that it raked in $4.8 billion this past holiday season, setting a new record. In fact, this holiday season’s sales were up 60% from last season’s. Though this can be attributed to a wide variety of things, such as online shopping being more popular than ever in the wake of the coronavirus. While this may be true, the huge increase is in large part due to Amazon Sellers stepping up more than ever.
Amazon also announced that almost all of the independent sellers that contributed to the $4.8 billion total were small or medium-sized businesses. This is great news, as countless individuals continue to make a living for themselves as sellers on Amazon, making this an optimal time to try your hand at becoming an Amazon Seller.
Of the success, Jeff Wilke, CEO of Amazon Worldwide Consumer said, “In a holiday season unlike any other, it’s clear that customers still want great deals on gifts for their loved ones or a little something extra for themselves, and we’re glad to help deliver smiles throughout the season. Thank you to our customers, employees, and selling partners around the world for making this our biggest holiday season to date, and for everything you’re doing to support our communities and each other now and throughout the year.”
