Amazon to Expand the FBA New Selection Program
Last April, Amazon unveiled its FBA New Selection program to Amazon Sellers. For many, this was a great tool to cut costs and expand their businesses. What is the FBA New Selection program?
The FBA New Selection program was put in place to give qualifying Amazon Sellers free removals, free monthly storage, and free returns processing on eligible new-to-FBA ASINs. Furthermore, those who participate in the program may also receive a $100 discount on Amazon partnered carrier shipping. Once you enroll in the program and Amazon determines you qualify, you can receive these benefits. To be eligible for the program, you must have, and maintain, a PI score of at least 400. That being said, New Professional sellers, or sellers who have not yet been assigned an IPI score may also apply to become part of the program.
How is Amazon expanding the FBA New Selection program?
Amazon recently announced that as of April 1, 2021, Sellers who are a part of the program will be receiving additional benefits, including oversize item eligibility, they will remove the 500-ASIN limit, they will provide promotional credits for sponsored ads, and they will also provide certain sellers with benefits for apparel and shoes, including free storage from 90-120 days (up to 100 units per parent ASIN), as well as expanding eligibility for customer returns processing fee waiver to 180 days (from 120 days).
