What is the best advice you can give your clients?

Some of the best advice that I can give to my clients is good tax planning. What does that mean? There are a lot of entities out there like LLC’s and S Corps where income that the entity earns flows onto your personal tax return. When that happens, a lot of taxes aren’t paid on that income so somebody might, at the end of the year, say “I had a great year. At the end of the year, I made a lot of money. This is great. But wait, oh man. I owe a lot of taxes.”

Having a CPA who hopefully does both your business and personal taxes can offer great advice and a great service for tax planning through, let’s say, paying estimated taxes. So, if your CPA knows that while throughout the first six months of the year you’re doing really well, maybe we should pay a little in taxes so this way, at the end of the year you’re not hit with a large tax bill from the government for the money that you’ve made. One of the best things you can do for your business is to have an accountant who does the taxes for your personal finances and for your business because they truly know the depth of all of your finances and can guide you in the direction of success.
