Google and Walmart partner to take on Amazon

Google and Walmart partner to take on Amazon

As Amazon continues its near world-domination, other companies are trying to stand up against the retail giant. Google and Walmart are partnering to see whether it can compete with Amazon. Walmart and Google will partner together to allow consumers to purchase Walmart products on Google Express. In addition, this will allow Walmart customers to link their accounts to Google, which can allow them to order Walmart products on Google Home, a voice activated speaker.

As much as other online retailers are trying to compete with Amazon, it seems as though consumers have already made up their mind that Amazon is their go-to choice for online shopping. This is great for Amazon sellers, though not so much for those who are selling on other retail platforms such as Walmart. Walmart recently acquired other retailers Jet.com, Modcloth, and Bonobos.

Google Express allows you to shop for products from Costco, Ulta, Stop & Shop, Wayfair, Pier 1, Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Petsmart, and more, all in one place. Google Express is similar to Amazon but is specific to stores as opposed to individual sellers in the way that Amazon does.

If you have questions about becoming a seller on Amazon, you should consult with an experienced Amazon accountant who can provide you with assistance in getting your finances in order for your Amazon business.
